At DC DanceSport Academy Dubai, we bring the true spirit of Buenos Aires to Dubai. Our Argentine Tango program offers an immersive journey into one of the world’s most passionate and profound dances. Guided by maestros with deep roots in Argentina, students experience tango as it is meant to be: elegant, expressive, and alive with connection.

Whether you dream of gliding confidently across a social dance floor or captivating an audience on stage, we offer two distinct but connected journeys — both grounded in authenticity and artistry.

Julio Ariel Azorín

Tango Dancer

Julio began his tango journey in 1999 at just 14 years old, studying with renowned teachers in both Tango Pista (Salón) and Tango Escenario (Stage Tango). His training was enriched by classical dance and Argentine folkloric dance, giving him a strong foundation in movement and expression.

Over the years, Julio has performed across magazines, television, cinema, theaters, and tango houses. Highlights of his career include appearances at Teatro Astros with Hugo Del Carril, Teatro Avenida, and Teatro Moulin Bleu, as well as performances in legendary tango houses such as Señor Tango, Homero Manzi, and Boedo Tango.

In competition, he reached the Final of the 2013 Tango World Championship, a milestone that further established his artistry. Since then, Julio has been dancing and teaching internationally in Spain, Italy, Poland, Dubai, Brazil, and beyond. With over 26 years dedicated to tango, he continues to share his passion and experience with dancers around the world.

Belén Valdez

Tango Dancer

Born in Buenos Aires, Belén discovered tango at the age of 16 after first exploring other disciplines including artistic gymnastics and contemporary dance. She trained with respected tango teachers in both Tango Pista (Salón) and Tango Escenario (Stage Tango), developing a style that blends strength, elegance, and artistry.

As a professional dancer, Belén has performed shows, taught classes, and led seminars in cities such as Dubai, Salerno, Battipaglia, Castellammare, and Buenos Aires. She had the privilege of studying regularly with the great maestro Aoniken Quiroga and dancing in iconic milongas including Salón Canning, La Baldosa, and El Marabú.

In addition to her performances, Belén is also a model and ambassador for renowned tango shoe brands, currently sponsored by them. With years of international experience and deep Argentine roots, she continues to bring the beauty and authenticity of tango to audiences and students worldwide.

Tango Pista (also called Tango Salón)

For Social Dance

Our Tango Pista classes are designed for beginners to start from the very beginning — understanding how the body works biomechanically. From the simple walk to the embrace, students learn the essence of tango: the connection between two people. This foundation builds natural movement, balance, and the sensitivity needed to truly enjoy dancing in social settings.

Tango Escenario (also called Stage Tango or Tango Stage)

For Performance

In Tango Escenario, we explore tools to create choreography built on the same principles of a strong embrace and a grounded walk. From this authentic base, dancers can develop stage-worthy tango that feels both real and artistically powerful. Students gain skills to transform simple movements into captivating performance pieces while keeping the heart of tango alive.

La Práctica

Argentine Tango Practice

Why join our Argentine Tango practice?

Because practice is where your dancing truly grows. In class you learn steps, but in practice you make them your own. It’s the place to repeat, refine, and let the movements sink into your body until they feel natural.

At our practice you’ll:

  • Build confidence by dancing in a relaxed, supportive setting.
  • Strengthen your connection to the music and your partner.
  • Ask questions on the spot—teachers will be there to guide and help.
  • Enjoy the atmosphere of a beautiful ballroom where you can dance freely, without pressure.

Practice is where technique turns into artistry, and effort turns into joy. Every great dancer knows—it’s not just about what you learn, it’s about how much you practice.

What We Offer in Argentine Tango

At DC DanceSport Academy Dubai, we bring the soul of Buenos Aires to the Marina. Guided by authentic maestros, our Argentine Tango program invites you to explore both the intimacy of Tango Salón and the artistry of Stage Tango. Whether your dream is to share the embrace on a social floor or to shine under the lights, your journey begins with us.

Private Lessons

Personalized, focused, transformative.

Private lessons are the fastest way to grow in tango. In a one-on-one setting, our maestros guide you through technique, musicality, and expression — tailoring each session to your goals. Whether you are starting your first tango walk or refining performance details, private lessons give you the attention and progress you need.

Group Classes

Connection, community, and shared learning.

Group classes are the heart of tango culture. They provide the chance to learn together, meet fellow dancers, and experience the joy of connection. Our classes welcome beginners and experienced dancers alike, offering structured learning in both Tango Pista (Salón) for social dance and Tango Escenario (Stage Tango) for performance.

Tango Practices (Prácticas)

Your safe space to explore, repeat, and grow.

A práctica is a guided or open practice session where dancers rehearse steps, refine technique, and build confidence in a relaxed environment. Unlike a performance or formal event, prácticas are about learning and repetition — a bridge between the classroom and the social dance floor. It’s where you gain confidence, ask questions, and make tango your own.

Milongas

The true spirit of Argentine Tango.

A milonga is a social dance evening — where tango lives and breathes. Music, tradition, and connection come together as dancers fill the floor, sharing the embrace, the codes, and the joy of this cultural experience. Our milongas bring the essence of Buenos Aires to Dubai, offering not only a place to dance but a place to belong.
